MGG Urges Senate to Obey Constitution
The Movement for Good Governance (MGG) condemns the attempts by a number of Senators to prevent the fulfillment of the Senate’s constitutional duty to hold the impeachment trial against Vice President Sara Duterte. This is a clear and reprehensible violation of their oath as public officials and as impartial Senator-Judges.
Transparent, participatory, and accountable governance demands that the Articles of Impeachment, duly filed and transmitted by the House of Representatives, be heard by the Senate forthwith and not delayed further nor summarily dismissed on a technicality unsupported by law and the Constitution.
The Vice President is likewise entitled to defend herself against the very grave charges she is being accused of – before the Senate acting as an Impeachment Court. The People of the Philippines have the right to witness the trial unfold and see for themselves that our Constitution’s unmistakable orders are obeyed.
May Magagawa! Movement for Good Governance Assembly Commits to Building Shared Spaces

“Sumali ako sa MGG, at pinipili ng Linya-Linya na makipag-collaborate sa Movement For Good Governance, dahil bukod sa paghanga sa mga nasa likod nito, naniniwala kaming may magagawa tayo, kasama ang Millennnials at Gen Z, para isulong ang mabuting pamamahala sa bansa. At kung totoong gusto natin ng “movement,” literal na kailangan nating gumalaw at kumilos.”
– Ali Sanggalang, Founder and Creative Director, Linya-Linya
Last March 7, 2025, the Movement for Good Governance (MGG), Synergeia Foundation, and YouthVote Philippines, with support from Ticket2Me and Asia Society Philippines, came together to host the 2025 Movement for Good Governance Assembly at the AIM Conference Center in Makati City.

With the banner of “May Magagawa”, Darwin Mariano, the Founder and Chair of Ticket2Me and a founding member of MGG spoke about MGG’s mission to unite diverse reform initiatives under a shared vision of building a stronger Philippines. Synergeia Foundation’s President and MGG founding member, Dr. Milwida “Nene” Guevara delivered the keynote address, setting the tone for the assembly. Following Dr. Guevara’s address, former DBM Assistant Secretary and MGG founding member Tanya Hamada began the moderated discussion by emphasizing how technology can be a tool in bringing about shared realities, thus raising the question “Without shared understanding, can we still have meaningful discourse—and if not, what does that mean for democracy?” It is this question that ignited the conversation on how different sectors can align their efforts to foster a common understanding and collaborative action for reform initiatives.
The discussion was driven by the youth members who underscored how engagement across generations and sectors needs a shared space. Each story that was shared came from lived experiences and conversations with fellow Filipinos who wanted to be seen, heard and understood. Understanding voters, bringing humor and empathy to each interaction, and demonstrating collective action were put forward as possible measures for MGG’s continuing political education goals.
“Sumali ako sa isang kilusan tulad ng Movement for Good Governance dahil naniniwala akong ang mabuting pamamahala ay susi sa maunlad at makatarungang lipunan. Sa pamamagitan ng sama-samang pagkilos, maipapahayag natin ang boses ng mamamayan at matitiyak na ang ating gobyerno ay tapat, epektibo, at tunay na naglilingkod sa lahat.”
– Jason Zulueta, Executive Director AHA! Learning Center
MGG will be launching events to bring more shared spaces so stay tuned.
